Storytime Baby Shower

This might just be the cutest new baby shower theme I have ever seen. Many of you already know Jennifer Eschbach who works at our store and is also the owner of Details Weddings and Events. Well, she and her husband are expecting their first child next month, a sweet baby boy! I recently attended a baby shower for Jennifer and I could definitely tell that she had her hand in the theme and decor. The baby shower theme was a "Storytime Shower" and guests were asked to bring a book for the new baby's library instead of a traditional baby shower card with their gift.

First of all, what a great idea! Second, the decor was so very creative! As you can see in the photos the tables were made up like children's beds, with a children's bed sheet as the table overlay and a matching pillow at the "head" of the bed along with a few plush friends and children's books.

The rest of the table was decorated with the lovely and scrumptious refreshments. We enjoyed gourmet tea sandwiches and cupcakes that looked almost too good to eat! Jennifer sent each guest home with their own individual wrapped hot tea for them to enjoy before their sleepy time! As you can see from the photos, it was a very sweet event. You could easily replicate many of these ideas for your next baby shower luncheon or brunch and needless to say Baby Boy Eschbach's library shelves are now full...Happy Reading Jen!

Afternoon Elegance

Check out this new store display, which is a table setting perfect for an afternoon tea, bridal shower, luncheon or brunch. Created by our own Jennifer Eschbach, who is also the owner of Details Weddings and Events. Jennifer used many creative touches that you could easily replicate for your next event. The invitation featured is from Inviting Company and is available at our store and on our website. It is printed as a Junior League New Members Meet & Greet, but would work wonderfully for any spring or summer party.

The napkin rings are actually stretch bracelets sold in our store and the silver tabletop items are from our Mariposa line. All of the Mariposa items make fabulous, distinctive entertaining gifts and most are made entirely from recycled materials. The guest favors are individually wrapped teas from our Tea Forte collection, along with a color coordinated ceramic tea tray, also available in our store from Tea Forte. For the hydrangea centerpiece, dried lentils were used as a base to hold the flowers inside the clear glass vase and a silk ribbon accents the base of the vase to add some extra color.

She really knows her stuff and it comes through in her love for each piece she creates. If I Had A Daughter...

This is what she would be wearing! I must say I have had way too much fun selecting some new designer kids apparel for the store. I don't have any daughters, and if you are a mother of a son, you know exactly what I mean when I say, there just aren't ANY cute, stylish clothes for boys. In the meantime, calling all moms with style, who pass that style on to their kids...you absolutely have to come see our new clothing lines. Both lines are very exclusive, handmade and are made with just the most beautiful fabric combinations you have ever seen. I am very proud to add both of these new original clothing lines to our store. If our customers like them, I am sure you will see more of them, however, there is one caveat...they are sold in very limited quantities and we will only be carrying a small number of each design in each size. They are truly one of a kind. We do have some designs available in size ranges for siblings that will coordinate wonderfully for matching outfits! One of the lines has already arrived and begun to sell quickly, the other will arrive in about 10 days.
